Common Market is almost single-handedly responsible for dragging me into my obsession with Jazzy Hip-Hop, and seem to be criminally ignored for how incredible their music is. Common Market is a duo from Seattle, Washington made up of RA Scion and Sabzi, also of Blue Scholars (one of Caroline's favorites!). Sabzi's instrumentals almost define what I look for in good hip-hop, at the same time hard-hitting and melodious, always varied, and never with a hint of overproduction. Scion as the MC is, dare I say it, flawless. I'll never forget the first time I heard 'Certitude' on the bus; absolute hip-hop perfection. Listen and enjoy!
